Opportunities lost

Oh well. The hokie defense is extremely good but the offense and the special teams didn't deliver. The game is not yet done -- but from the looks of it, the hokies already lost the Sugar bowl.

Better luck next time in the 2005 season.

UPDATE: The Hokies managed to score 13 points in the 4th quarter but short of 3 points to tie with Auburn. The final score: Auburn 16 - Virginia Tech 13.

If only Jesse Allen didn't fumble the 'sure' touchdown pass in the first half ...
If only Brandon Pace didn't miss a field goal ...
If only ...

Again, all together now. Oh well...

:)

actually there were three chances, the dropped end zone catch, the missed field goal, and the wild throw by randall when there was an open man at the end zone. auburn was dreaming though that they can come away with a convincing win.

You're right. I forgot who that guy in the end-zone was. It could have been a touchdown too.

Auburn was so lucky to escape the offense and defense of Virginia Tech. It's too bad the hokies got their wind right only in the last quarter. If there was enough time, the hokies could possibly muster another score.

Win or lose -- I still side with the hokies. :)
