Biological Robots

Jianzhong Xi, Jacob Schmidt and Carlo Montemagno of the University of California Los Angeles have grown rat cells onto microscopic silicon chips. They then got it walk like primitive legs. Their technique is thought to be a first step in creating self assembling robots.
